GYMSHARK CUSTOMER REVIEWS AND RATINGS POLICY
This policy explains how Gymshark handles customer reviews, ratings and related information published through our Customer Ratings and Reviews and Questions and Answers service (the "CRR Service"). It sits alongside, and should be read with, our Customer Ratings and Reviews and Questions and Answers Terms of Use.
We want the reviews you see on our site to be genuine, trustworthy and useful. This policy sets out our commitment to preventing and removing fake, concealed-incentivised and misleading reviews, and how you can help.
Fake reviews are not allowed
We prohibit fake reviews. A fake review is one that looks or claims to be genuine but is not - for example, a review that does not reflect the reviewer's real experience of the product or service, or a review written by someone with no genuine experience of it.
Everyone who submits a review through the CRR Service must confirm that it reflects their genuine experience of the relevant product or service. We do not write, commission or publish fake reviews, and we do not allow others to do so through our site.
Our approach to incentivised reviews
An incentivised review is one written in exchange for a benefit - for example, money, a discount, free product, loyalty points, a prize-draw entry or any other reward.
We do not prohibit incentivised reviews, but any incentive must be clearly and prominently disclosed within the review itself, and the review must still reflect the reviewer's honest and genuine opinion. Reviews that conceal an incentive are not allowed and will be removed.
Where we, or an approved partner, offer any incentive to leave a review, we will require the review to be labelled, for example by labelling the review as being incentivised. Any such incentive is offered for a review whether positive or negative.
Our approach to ratings and review information
We publish overall star ratings, review counts, summaries and rankings derived from the reviews we hold. We take steps to keep this information accurate and not misleading, including:
calculating overall ratings and counts from genuine, compliant reviews only;
removing a review from the aggregate figures where we remove it as non-compliant, and recalculating the affected rating or count; and
not curating summaries, rankings or ratings to give a misleading overall impression.
We publish all compliant reviews, whether positive or negative, and we do not remove, suppress or prioritise reviews to influence overall ratings or impression.
How we detect and remove non-compliant content
We take reasonable and proportionate steps to prevent the publication of, and to remove, fake reviews, concealed incentivised reviews and false or misleading review information. In practice, this means we:
operate checks designed to detect non-compliant content before and after publication;
investigate reviews flagged by our own monitoring, by users or by others;
remove content we find to be non-compliant, and may take further action such as displaying warnings, declining further submissions from a reviewer who has breached our rules, or blocking a user; and
review the effectiveness of these steps and update them to respond to new risks.
Where a third party (for example, our reviews provider) helps us collect or display reviews, we remain responsible for taking these steps.
How to report a review
If you think a review is fake, conceals an incentive or is otherwise misleading or in breach of this policy, please tell us by contacting us at support@gymshark.com. We will review reports promptly and take action where appropriate.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices or the law. The current version is the one published on this page. This policy was last updated on 24th August 2026.
